Tom Schirdewahn

Tom is co-founder and partner at MovieBrats.

He is responsible for creating images from words on paper. As art director, graphics designer and illustrator he is MovieBrats own inhouse art department creating storyboards, moods and concept art, designing characters for animation and matte paintings for visual effects. Tom also oversees all things 2D animation and motion graphics and manages animation projects like currently the German-Polish short film THE LITTLE RED PAPERSHIP.

Tom studied communication design with a focus on animation and illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Wuerzburg, Germany, and animation film at the Griffith University in Australia. In recent years he was also a partner at Neyeon where he oversaw design jobs for small and medium-sized companies. He was a lecturer for animation film at his former university in Wuerzburg, and in 2009 together with his former fellow students David and Moritz he formed the Monitor Scientists GbR. In late 2010 they joined forces with the other partners to establish the MovieBrats GmbH in Berlin.
